This page shows all existing SQL Dump files in the directory "administrator/backups" with categories. The categories are sorted by the job names. SQL Dumps files that where not created with eBackup are categorized as "Unknown". With the drop down box "Remote" it's possible to manage all SQL Dumps file created with eBackup on the configured FTP Server for each scheduled backup job. When a FTP Server is configured in the default settings an additional value "Manually (Remote)" is available in the drop down box.

By saving a scheduled backup job a job ID is assigned to the job. This Job ID is part of the SQL Dump file name. The file name layout contains the name of the database, the Job ID and a time stamp. It's descriped as follows: "databasename_JOBIDx_date_time.sql" or "databasename_JOBIDx_date_time.sql.gz". Manually created backups is the Job ID 0 assigned.

Toolbar Icons (Functions):

Backup By clicking this button the function for a manually started backup will be activated. In this function it's possible to select tables they should include in the backup. Additional there are some maintenance actions fort he tables available. More information's about this functionality are available in this dialog.
Scheduler By clicking this button the function for the administration of the scheduled jobs will be activated. With this function it's possible to create, edit or delete schedule backup jobs. Further information is available in this function dialog by clicking the Help button.
Log By clicking this button the function for viewing the log of the scheduled backup jobs will be activated. This view gives an overview of all activities created by the scheduled backup jobs. Possible errors are apparent here.
Settings By clicking this button the function "Settings" will be activated. Within this function it's possible to define the default backup options. These settings will be used for all manually initiated backups and as default values for new scheduled backup jobs.

Toolbar Icons (Actions):

Restore By clicking this button the action for restoring the SQL Dump file into the database will be accomplished. For the Restore action it's important to check the SQL Dump file for system tables like "#__session" or "#__users". If there are system tables included, the installation of the system and the restore process itself can be destroyed.
